Hi All,
First post here so Hi Everyone
A Friend and I have been playing pool for years, We had a dab in snooker occasionally but now decided to start playing weekly. I admit were not the best but we are improving so thats all good
I have a pool cue, but to be honest, its old and is really worn so now looking at snooker cues, problem is, I dont really know where to start - So many options!
Is there some basics I need to know, whether its best to go 1/2 or 3/4 split, tip size etc. I keep seeing cue's with mini butt extensions, but are they big enough? Would quite like a good extension but is that something I can buy afterwards to split the cost?
I dont want a basic basic cue, and im no professional or competition player, I just appreciate the sport alot and appreciate good equipment so like to have the best I can afford - I dont really have any budget in my mind yet so if anyone could just give me some basic info on the cues and maybe the makers etc? any rough prices would be greatly appreciated also - Im in the buckinghamshire / Milton Keynes area of the world
Once I have that I can then try and convince my better half I need a new cue
Thanks in advance all, sorry if this question has been asked before but im kinda new to this forum so didnt know where to look etc
