I thought when he was striking the cue it sounded like a very hard contact, something to listen out for.

Well if Ronnie and John use those tips then they are even better players than I thought :snooker:

i fitted a talisman pro soft tip a cpl of days ago and i have to say it plays really good, ive always played with elks in the past so it felt a bit strange to start with but after using it for a while i really got used to the feel of it, i found it really good on screw shots and im not sure if i will ever go back to elks.

I have to say I had a Talisman soft tip that ADR147 gave me a few years back and have never used anything else since. They last ages and have a great feel. I now use it to play 8 ball pool as well and it plays well on there too.

In Feb last year Ronnie was no longer using a Talisman and was back to using a Blue Diamond. Looking at close ups of his tip this season imo no way is it a Talisman, looks more a BD or Elk Master.

It could be one of Mike Wooldridges tips :snooker: they make a louder noise when striking the cue ball than an Elk or Blue Diamond.

i can't comment on what he is using now but i can say 100% that on the 6th april 2007 he was using a talisman hard tip.
