Definately playing well, of course! Is the problem of peradon's sticking an issue which has affected many of you? To be honest i think that all i'm after is something to set me in the right direction - a cue that's decent enough to last a year or so as i progress my game. I don't think i'm after anything fancy, more of a beginners cue which i can use to get a feel for my game etc etc, hence wanting to spend a little amount of money on a first proper cue.

then just get something like this

oh and yeah about the peradons, as I said they are nice looking and good playing pieces of wood, but in time they get too sticky! this is due to a laquer they put on which ruins the whole concept.
if i were you mate, i would get th craftsman..cant go wrong form what ive heard and played with.

I also had a Peradon Joe Davis 3/4 as my first cue. I was quite happy up to the moment i had the chance to play with some real good cues.
The Peradon had a balance point at 12" so was very heavy in the butt. And it was of course sticky.
So i tried to save some money in the beginning but that money was wasted. At the end it was expensive.
I found the cues of Welsh Pool trading at 120,-- GBP

I have not touched the cues but they look quite OK for the money.
Maybe some mebers have experience with that cues?I am confused... Oh wait... Maybe I'm not...
