I think the point is, the people buying the cues want to know whether they have been built in the UK or not. It's east to say one thing or another about whether there's a great difference in quality between UK or otherwise, but nobody would rather something built elsewhere.

If the cue makers import almost completely made cues then finish them it's because they make more money doing that which is understandable. But there are two sides to the story and if the consumer is paying good money for something the cue maker has got at a fraction of the price from making it himself it means that it's not as fair a trade for us buyers.

Not hard to ask whether a cue was made in the UK.

On a similar note, if I buy a John parris, Trevor White, or Mike Wooldridge cue it has their name on it, so I expect that they have built it. We've all heard that's not always the case with Parris cues. Again you're paying for something you may think is built by one person but in fact isn't.

Couldn’t agree more with that. Don't get me wrong I’m not saying there’s anything wrong with importing partially made cues and reselling them as long as there’s fair price and the customer knows about it.

        No problem

I won't bother giving my honest advise or posting anymore.

        That's appears to be better.

Don't really think it's about your opinion buddy, I'm sure the whole debate is bigger than just what you had to say about it. But if you want to spit the dummy that's your choice. But we're entitled to our opinion too as the average joe's putting the money in the cue makers and retailers pockets.

BITTER I can honestly say that in no way was I having a go at you. In fact I can see why you as well as other retailers wouldn't want to say anything as by naming names could possibly loose money. With that said you can't expect to say something on a public forum that could raise a few eyebrows and not expect some debate! It's like shining a torch in a rabbits eyes - your going to get peoples attention and you got mine! As consumers people will want to know what exactly they are buying especially if that product is not labelled truthfully. This is true in any market place.
