I played pool for most of my life and only in the past few months have I ventured into snooker - the first time I held a snooker cue I might as well have been holding a broomstick and it would've felt equally awkward. Now I'm actually more comfortable (and also more fond of lol) snooker and my snooker cue... but for anyone who dismisses the differences... oyy there are tons. And about the grip, I wonder if the predominance of these grips in pool cues might have something to do with the fact that pool cues are thicker and the grip used by most pool players is MUCH firmer (perhaps making things sweatier) than the looser snooker grip.

It's funny you should say about playing Snooker with a 13mm tip. I met a guy who used to have a Snooker cue with a normal ferrule size, but had a 13mm tip on it over lapping, but he says he kept catching it on the side of the table when the white was close, and ripping it off, so he had his cue customized and now has a 13mm ferrule size, he says he has had a break of 92 with it, so he is very happy.Last edited by S Davis Fan; 11 June 2008, 04:49 PM.
