Ali Carter's cue

Has Ali Carter changed his cue.

I noticed in a China Tournament that he had a different cue to the one he was playing at the World. It had a joint in the Splice like Steve Davis Cue.

it is risky to have a long journey with a 1 piece cue

All I know that in the World Championships, his cue was a very stiff grain.

Yes, the joint wasn't there in Sheffield.

there was talk of his cue been very old and having to take things easy with it, so maybe he is trying out a new one for next season ?

The shaft looks the same. Perhaps he has just had a joint put into the cue as there may have been a weakness in the butt or maybe he wanted it lengthening? All in all I'm pretty sure its the same cue.
