  • Cue Balance

First of all Hi to all as i am new to this forum my name is Peter from down under.
my question is about balance of a cue how do you tell what is a well balanced cue and what is not. i have a 3/4 master cue at the moment butt is 16 inches long and the overall length is 57 inches buy placing the cue across my index finger the cue balances approx an inch past the butt. i'm about to order a custom cue and i want it right any help would be appreciated. hope i have posted this where it should be, thanks Peter.

At the bottom of this webpage, there is some information on Balance point and the weight, which in my opinion are related to each other.

The balance and weight of a cue are extremely important when finding a cue that's right for you. In this section we want to try and explain how balance can change from cue to cue.
Above is a quote from the section.

    Hope the link helps!

Anything between approx 16-18" represents average balance point for most 58" length cue, really individual preference whether you prefer it forward balanced or more towards the butt.

somewhere between 16-19" from the butt is normal range, the rest is personal taste
