  • Gravity Cue

Hi all. I'm new to this. My name is Nicholas and am looking forwards to the launch of the Gravity Cue by Neil Johnson. Cue is being made my Peradon and works in a shifted weight system to allow a straighter more consistent hit. Does anyone know anything about these cues?

i am not sure its still going to be made by peradon.

Before you buy one climb up on the local church roof and nick some lead. Trim said lead to fit lengthways along your cue butt and bond with sticky tape.
Take cue to local snooker hall and try it out yourself.(take them snooker gloves too whilst your at it, hey the rest of the guys in there are gonna laugh their bollocks off at you anyways so you might as welll kill two birds with one stone)

In other words it's a load of crap. I f you cant keep ypu wrist straight whilst cueing you ought to be on a cricket pitch bowling yorkers not on a snooker table.

how comes this is the case? i was in contact with him a while ago and i'm going to be trying out some of the cues with Neil Cummins (director of maximumbreak.com) and hopefully i will be purchasing one if satisfied. i have seen a few players on youtube using the gravity cue but i suppose they're from Merseyside.

well there are twitchy ones. my cue action i believe is straight but theres no harm in seeking an advantage. but u should try the cue before calling it useless

the idea is that of a keel system - i find it hard to imagine how such a small weight change could impact on your muscles but i will wait until i see one before i comment.

Peradon won't be making them and it's brass not lead from Church roof.

Looks like they will be UK made which is very good news.
Don't knock it til you try i ? I have not yet so can't comment.

I find it very hard to believe that a cue will fix a 'wrong' cue action.

I understand what you mean. when i was in touch with neil johnson i told him i was a little reluctant hence trying out the cue. the pictures on his site showing the standard cue going way offline when "seesawing" the cue back and forwards looks extremely exageratted.

but i have to try before i can complain for praise

The gravity cue concept is just as ADR states, it's a cue with an off centre weight.

There is no advantage whatsoever to the idea, other than for the person who is promoting it.
