  • Buroughes & Watts Norfolk Cue

I have just discovered in my loft what appears to be a 16.5 oz. billiard cue by Burroughes & Watts Ltd., 19 Soho Square, London, W1, c. 1950's, pearwood shaft, machine-spliced handle with amboyna and apple-green front splice, manufacturer's circular ivorine nameplate, (146 cm long) - possibly a Norfolk cue. (It is complete with a tin/metal tubular case, made in 3 sections with a hanging loop - the case is "well travelled")

Is this likely to be of interest to collectors?

Thanks for the reply. Any pointers as to where I might offer this? Ebay perhaps, or specialist auction houses?

Id expect you should get a couple of hundred quid to be honest. ADR should be able to point you in the right direction. Otherwise ill have it off your hands

it won't fetch as much as that - ebay would be a good bet - or e-mail me some pictures and i will pass them round the collectors for you.

Just seen this on ebay and then thought 'norfolk cue, seen that mentioned on the forum'

lol when the bidding ends, scrub that, when the auction ends as no one but a loon is gonna bid on it let alone buy it now at £110 try re-advertising it again as an auction ditching the word amboyna as the probably maple front splice is nothing like amboyna which is a burl.

If you get £50 you'll be lucky.

BTW heres possibly the same cue sold cheaper originally by B+W badgeless in bulk to a club:

didnt even get a £5 bid
