  • Dunns Cues

Hi. Just been looking at Dunns cues. Cheap but comprised in quality?

    Any views?

    Thanks
    Nicholas

my comment was not meant to put you off in any way. moreover, the point is that if something is cheap, there is usually a very good reason.

the cues could be fine, but on a like for like basis, you are unlikely to get the same quality for £100 as you would for say £300.

if you could then there would be no more 'expensive' cues...

When/ if the chinese start using better graded wood and learn how to get splices even then with there very low labour costs they will dominate the whole market as they will with almost every product. Mike wont be bothering with a website then as he will sell exculsively to patiots.

Got an ad ready for the NF magazine Mike ?

I've ordered a cue from Dunns... just wondering if this seems an acceptable standard, is it me or does the top splice seem a bit odd?? ... .obviously there is more finsihing to do on it...

Also they have used Ebony instead of tulipwood....hmmmmm

                What do you reckon Mike?

It looks extremely rough to me, the two splices you can see don't seem good at all... This is what it's meant to be like when finished....

A tad worried.. can any cue-makers on here advise...

i have the"marble" model,i would say the cues are of decent quality,i am a century break player and the cue works fine for me...was even thinking of going for the "ronnie" model too,and i wouldnt buy a secondcue from them if i thought they were in quality £100's of pound worse than other makers.
