  • The Top 16 Player's Cues?

    Hi guys.
Can anyone help in stating which cue brand and model that the top 16 players use?

Similar thread to who uses a Wooldridge cue (which are awesome), but didn't want to 'hijack' that thread.

Yep, have seen that thread before.
Just thought I'd see if everyone would or could update things.
I find it amazing that no one could verify that Mike's cues are or aren't being used by pro's. Surely..
Anyway, regardless of what cue this guy or that guy uses, it is always (well pretty much so) the guy doing the cueing that gets the results.
I'm pretty sure everyone agrees with that.

ADR would be able to but he's on hols at the moment. If someone has a list of the top 16 i maybe able to fill in some of the blanks
Its not how well you play its how good you look playing that counts!

Andrew posted the list at maximumbreak.com at the same time as that original thread and I think it's been updated since.

Well, it was myself and Andrew who first compiled this list a couple of years ago!!

            1) Ronnie : Parris 'Traditional' cue, Andrew informs me that it has a regular Traditional badge rather than Ultimate badge
            2) Maguire : Parris maple cue
            3) Murphy : Old Tom Newman cue altered by Rodney Hinde
            4) Selby : Stamford Cuemakers
            5) Day : Trevor White Cue
            6) Carter : Not sure, was using an old cue but not sure which?
            7) Perry : Not sure
            8) Fu : Kevin DeRoo cue
            9) Hendry : Accuerate cue
            10) Ding : Stamford Cuemakers
            11) Williams : was a Barracuda gold medal cue but now not sure
            12) Allen : Not sure
            13) Ebdon: Old machine spliced cue
            14) Higgins : NW Cues (Kev Muncaster)
            15) Bingham : Not sure
            16) King : Not sure

Neil Robertson : Parris 'Classic' altered by Aussie cuemaker.

Andrew can fill in the missing spaces I'm sure

I think Williams is using a Parris, Trevor mentioned that in a post a while back.

And Carter is down as having a Parris on their site but that doesn't mean much. I think he had a glover years ago don't know if he's still using that.

Trevor made Maguire a maple cue.....which he probably still owns BUT he is definitely using a Parris maple cue at the moment. He even said as much in a BBC interview at the Crucible.

It was strange getting the provisional top 16 list from the worldsnooker website and then noticing that Neil Robertson, Steve Davis, Matthew Stevens, Stephen Lee, Graham Dott just to name a few well known names were all missing from it...........!!

Ebdons old machine spliced job is definately a Dufferin. I remember a tv interview where he said that his parents bought it him but he was not sure of the price about £15 he said.
