  • Parris Cue. Cash Converters? Who Would?

Hi everyone. Just looked on ebay and looked at 2 Parris Cues being flogged down my local cash converters.

The ebay items numbers are: 370082986285 & 190248928533

I can't really tell if these are genuine but I don't see why not but I'm just suprised they're sold at Cash Converters.

Thanks in advance for any responses.

    Nicholas.

    Well ...

N* the owner of the club where I play had her JP cue stolen some 2 years ago. She was devastated. It is a very unusual cue as it is quite short (53), two pieces but the butt is very short also. Made for her: she's tiny. With it the case, a leather case, all extensions etc ...
Now in this summer two members of the club spotted 2 JP cues selling in a Cash Converter type of shop. Complete with case and all at a ridiculous price. One of them recognized as N*'s cue. They bought it and brought her her cue back. She was on cloud nine but of course there are now all sorts of legal complications because at the time of the theft she filled in a complain and now that it's back the police wants to sort out responsibilities - the cash converter owner was apparantly in good faith; he had no idea what he was selling - and possibly discover the original thief ... you can imagine!

    So be very carefull!

PS: even her chalk was still there in the case

Hmmm does seem odd Cash Converters would never give you a half decent price.
The Master model I believe is quite rare because they stopped making the machine cues.

Thats what I was thinking. I remember several years ago when the PS2 first came out and one of my mates was trying to sell his PS2 control pad and they offered £1 for it?

Yeah I asked JP about the master cue when I last went down to see him. He just said that "the jig" as he said was broken and it wasn't worth replacing the machine or unit or whatever itis.

So thats why there are only the hand spliced cues being made & no longer the Master Model.

Yeah I don't think fake I wonder if nicked though.
If not it's either a bright bloke at Cash Converters or a thick seller.
I've never known any body get offered proper money for things there.
My ex asked about selling a decent violin once and they would only offer the price of a cheap chinese tat one.
