  • How Long has Jimmy been using a Parris for

Hi Went to Jimmy White/Alex Higgins Exhibition tonight.

Was very surprised how Alex played excellent, for some one looking like a corpse. He tried to get some guy thrown out for shouting out.

Anyway I thought that Jimmy's cue was the same one He had been using for ages Hunt & o'bryne one.

But there was a fire evacuation and during the scuttle I went right passed Jimmy's cue and to my amazement found it was an JP Ultimate.

How long has he had this. What is the spec, it looks like half the cue is butt and half shaft, making it about 28" butt.

I went to the same exhibition tonight brilliant stuff......good to see the Hurricane & Whirlwind again...with Alex playing very well considering his current health.
Got all my books etc signed so over the moon.
As for Jimmy's cue don't know much about it but can tell you its 23oz in weight 9mm tip amazing really at his best he used 17.5oz.

I think jimmy cue started life as a H&B but over the years parris has repaired it and made a new butt for it.... thats what i was told...........

hey Blondie..good to have you back you been in free spirit mode again?

It was a great night and nice to see both Alex & Jimmy again whatever standard there playing you can't forget all the magic moments they've gven us over the years.
Alex is showing great "bottle" really considering his health and knocked in a few nice breaks and potted some good long shots, Jimmy to looked very sharp it would be nice to see him hit a bit of form.

Regardless though 2 sporting legends/icons...you can't under estimate what effect these 2 have had on the game of snooker over the years...
The famous 69 break was shown on a big screen before the players came out which was a nice touch.....
          great night had by all..........

            ..hey cue,

...hope you're well, and free spirit mode it is.....

....the 69 frame is one of my favourites too, and one of the best pressure break frames ever.

            ...enjoy yourself, and happy snookering.......:snooker:
