Just finished my first attempt at doing something to a cue other than putting a new tip on.
I inheritted an old maple cue that didnt have a ferrule and had damaged splices. They werent made out of nice wood, not too sure what it was. I ripped the splices off and cleaned up the ebony removing all the lacquer. I then made my own maple veneer of between 1.5 and 2mm and glued on. Then glued on a piece of walnut that i got from a flooring sample. I planed it all down and sanded.
I didnt intend on putting pics on here but i'm really happy with the way it went. Would like to have a go at making a comlpete cue from scratch next.
