  • Cue Shaft Shortening?

Can a cue be shortened by removing some shaft lenth from the tip end (around 3") and obviously a retaper to reduce the tip size?

The reason i say this is you may have splice work on the butt which you don't want messing up.

I have been thinking exactly the same thing. I have a cue which is too long and has a very slight bend in the same end as the ferrule.

Often thought about gettint it shortened and then turned down so the bend is gone or less obvious.

      Simple answer yes!
Chop off end and retaper not a problem anywhere.
May slightly affect balance point though!
