Hi everybody, I am new on here but can you experts answer a quick question.
I have quite a large collection of cues, and I am a carpenter by trade.
My son is a keen junior and loves playing with my John Parris Classic 3/4, however it is a little too long for him so I am in the process of shortening it for him. I have managed to get the joint off, but to my suprise it has been hollowed out and a length of steel threaded bar has been inserted I assume for the weight?
There is no way I can shorten the butt now, I always assumed British cuemakers inserted lead through the end of the butt to add weight, the only time I have seen this method used is in cheap imported cues.
Your advice please!
