  • New Cue

    Hello All/
I have just purchase a new snooker cue (my first 1 ) - Omin Champion.

There is a layer of varnish or laqu coating the cue (different from Master cues for example or some other cues)

My question is do I sand my cue down with fine paper or what is the procedure of "breaking" in my cue?

Thanks to all in advance and have a great weak

Ok thanks. I've tried searching and found some info.

Sounds silly asking but In general do the most top players use non varnished cues. mainly oiled cues?
This would give me a good direction to how varnished cues are regarded.

      Thanks

How much did you pay for it?
I know of a guy who can get mastercue, john parris cue and etc in ashdod beach.
I didnt know that there are so many snooker fanatics in israel.

The cue was returned! I loved the balance of the cue but hated the varnish/Laqu/or whatever the finish was.

I am sure though it was original. the joint was printed with "hand made by O'min cues" so I don't know..

Anyway I will probably go for a Master Cue or a nice RLE cue that I checked out.
                    I'll update.
strange that I found a couple of John Parris cues for around 160$?? I know the should be much more expensive so I'm not sure.

Do be cautious of such John Parris cue!
There are either china made replica of the original Parris cue or it is the other John Paris with just a single R instead of the Original Parris

I myself just customize a mastercue M7 pyragon from a local shop in singapore for US$250. If u ever need one, feel free to check it out with me.

Yes, there is a very suspect John Paris around, not the top John Parris.

There is the one 'are'd' version and the two 'are'd' version!!

One in England, one in China or wherever in the other corner of the world!
