I think it's geography as Stan not far from Tony Wilshaw, it's actually Tony's cues i've seen these joints being used on the most in terms of quick release mini butts and for that purpose they are one of the best i've seen.
The other joint that's pretty impressive is the LP cue quick release joint on extensions and mini butts, nice quality extensions as well.

It looks a great joint for extns. I would imagine it's the price point that's held mass use of it back. On eBay it's £8 whereas a spirolock is £3.....

Thanks Andrew, I knew you were there from the start, and appreciate the candour. Generally speaking, the idea fits well With my thinking,but proves this isn't easy to perfect and supports why we all use "average" extn's .

For now,they do the job. It's a slow work in progress, I doubt we are losing shots, so from a business perspective it's a no brainer why we are not progressing.

At least I can put a line under my research and concentrate on craft beer instead! Crafty beer? Hmmmmmmm

My 9 ball cue has a uniloc cue joint and extension joint. Both work great as a quick release joint. I wonder of there's a reason they aren't available on snooker cues?
