Excuse my ignorance but would I be correct in assuming you are talking about Trevor White ? If so I am looking for a new cue and after much research i have decided that I would like to get a Trevor White Cue, I'm in Australia and cannot find a website or anyway of contacting him apart from this site, can anyone help me get in contact with Trevor so I can get the wheels in motion please.
Yep . Trevor White is the guying being talked about all right. I am sure someone will be able to help you get in contact with him too but it looks like you may not be getting a new cue by this christmas.

thankyou
PM me i will help you out but as someone said it will not be before christmas.
For those of you who can't go more than 20 mins without speaking to the great man, he is snowed under. 40 cues to complete before Xmas or there will be a lot of tears and tantrums on Xmas morning and it will be all his fault....
Santa's sack will be bulging with white and black plumbing tubes this year!
For a game which is nearly dead in this country and in the midst of the worst financial crisis the world has even seen what I'd like to know is where did all these orders come from? High street shops having their worst Christmas sales on record, house repossessions higher than ever, unemployment rising at the fastest rate since 1991! It beggers belief people still have money to throw away on cues.

Reason: spelling error.

the answer is simple - the golden rule applies. QUALITY ALWAYS SELLS
And not all of us are affected by the so called "Credit Crunch". Why ADR moved into his new manor house just last week as the old castle was getting a little too crampt for him and his 14 full size tables and various Astons

I would say Trevor White's cue is probably preceived as very good value. Many believe that they are probably going to hold its value over time, so it is considered as sort of a wise investment.
Besides, a cue does not really have a big price tag, it is not like buying a car. The difference between a rubbish cue and a nice cue is only several hundred pounds. I doubt it will serious break anyone's bank account regardless of economy. Some people could be getting a year end bonus which they decide to send on a custom cue.
I would say most people buy a nice custom cue for themselves--it is a bit different than buying gifts for their friends and co-workers when it comes to making a decision on how to spend their money with a tight budget.
One other thing I do notice is that although 40 or so orders for one particular cue maker do sound a lot, but if you consider how many people are playing snooker out there, especially the popularity of the game overseas in Asia, it is not really a big percentage.
I do nto reckon sales of custom high end cues to go up/down too much during Christmas though regardless of economy. May be up a bit but not really that much usually. What is everyone's experience?
What is sales like in Christmas for custom cues traditionally, ADR147-- does it really go up a lot, or stay more or less the same?

just to add I was being sarcastic, obviously cues are a big seller for xmas and I'm sure its trev's busiest time of the year. Still beggars belief though that he has 40 to make!

In the Christmas story... back more than a few Depressions ago... didn't Cratchit trade Tiny Tim's cue for a turkey or did they use it as kindling to cook the turkey??
