My 1st Homemade, Handmade cue

Thank you Noel. I have learnt alot, an awful lot! Considering im from the generation that the national curriculuim decided that you should not make anything but think how it is made (Good old EU legislation again) im very happy doing the work. In fact i find it very very relaxing and rewarding. I must say a big thank you to Mike and Andrew (ADR) as they have helped me no end with techniques and finding bits and pieces, Ive got a few to do now so will post pics up on here as they are done. Thank you everyone for your support, it really is a lovely community to be around....just need to sort some badges, cant find anywhere

Well not been around much as ive been a busy bee, so thought id post up my latest experiment. Got some badges made by Dave at Mastercraft, top bloke

Have stripped the drill press down now and works a dream!

I honestly have no idea my friend. He said he could help me out on just a few as im still looking for blanks. He was very helpful and im grateful for that.

Well next week ill be laying a new area of patio, then i can do the workshop *COUGH* large shed to get the hobby on the move. I have plenty of wood now, i have most of the kit. Just need to get better at a few areas before I would make a cue 100% and sell to the public. Id hate to let something go that i would not feel is perfect and would annoy me. So until then its practice, practice and more practice. Few friends have had a couple off of me and are really pleased. What ill do is any that I do i can just pop pics up if people like.

I'm sure others are pleased to hear this news For the likes of me, custom cues are out of budget... None the less, I'd love to see any more pics of your work if you have any? For example, from the cues you've made for friends.

Out of interest, how much do you find a cue costs to make (On average) in materials? And what length of time? Considering how (Relatively!) frequently this thread has been updated, seems you've managed to get them made at quite a pace!
