Thanks for the discussion, I've now ordered a custom cue from the Stamford cuemakers, and it'll take couple of months to finish. I will let you know if I'm satisfied with it !
I am from China, Stamford cuemakers became more and more popular here, of course the reason is Ding, even Liang Wenbo changed his cue to stamford for this reason as well, I have ordered nearly 20 cues from them for my freinds, honestly most of them are splendid, but 2 or 3 of them are whippy. unexpectly, 2 maple one was really nice, very old timber, rare to see this, if you order one from any cuemaker, it is a gamble, not only from Paul
PS, Paul is a nice guy, his son Lewis is a snooker player, they made nice cases, haha
i play with a stamford hand made, its absolutely fantastic, though its only 17 1/2 oz the power i get off the cue is amazing,i bought it for 250 ,(only the cue ,excluding the extensions and case) even if you dont buy a stamford ,you should buy the case its amazing,i would definately recommend a stamford to you.
If you ask Paul he'll send you a price list; his cases are amazingly good. Also heard very good things about North Wales Cases, guy who makes them comes on this forum too, so I'm told.
How does the Pro series 2 stand against other cues? I got the list too, but the series 1 v series 2 is a bit confusing. Series 1 prices seem to be out of my league, but I am a bit hesistant - if I do purchase a series 2 about the quality of wood.
