    Item no. 330299205655

But if people bid on a cue like that from a guy with 60% ! feedback i have no pity with them.
He offers this cue now the third time and does obvisousely not give it away.
And by the way he seems to be a racist if you have a look a the description.
I am confused... Oh wait... Maybe I'm not...

Obviously uses ebay as a loan account. Just avoid getting cues off ebay. I only get cues off ebay if they are damaged or need repair as I usually know what im getting. But spending £200+ on ebay on a cue....madness!

The last sentence of his description:
WILL SHIP WORLDWIDE NO AFRICAN SCAMS PLEASE, WE KNOW YOUR TRICKS AND SCAMS. SO PLEASE DO NOT BOTHER.

          seems to me very rude.

No alot of sellers do it. Alot of scams, mainly from Nigeria, buy stuff and then send fake paypal emails saying payment has been sent etc. It usually affects electical goods. I got caught out about 3 years ago with a mobile phone and got done out of £120

              Ouch!
Would have been a good fraction of the money for a new cue...

There is no harm in getting cues off ebay is not a problem as long as you are either fimiliar with the seller or trust the feedback etc. To tar us all withe same brush is a little unfair. The ultimate in question is definately a fake. Andrew when it originally came up some time ago did you not contact Parris and find that ultimate number had totally different spec entirely?
Its not how well you play its how good you look playing that counts!

Well I know who I would sooner believe. I don't think this is the first time this exact cue has actually been debated at length on here. I think the cue itself has been sold about 4 times that I can remember and as not everyone suffers from russellitis that would point to either the owner has realised it is not actually a genuine ultimate or the cue is not actually all that great a cue in my opinion.

all i can say is i rang john personally the last time it was on and he checked the records for me and it didn't match at all.

Thre are obvious some more obvious signs, but if the cue is in my hands I always look for a little red tinge on the end of the splicing for a sign of a real one if I am not sure if it is a fake. This is the glue John uses.
if you order a cue now from John Parris, you will never see the red tinge, he changed the glue, haha, and I have seen some fake cues, made by a Chinese craftsman, who use the same glue and of course red tinge appeared.

imo the only thing to distinguish the real cue or a fake one is the taper of the shaft, and the shape of the splices

Very good point John actually changed the red tinge glue for splices about a year ago in favour of clear glue, one of the reasons being to stop copy's & fakes..........looks like it will take time for the fakers to catch up with what's happening.
