I have also some old cues with nice shafts but quite pale grain.

Are you willing to share your knowledge also with me, please?
I am confused... Oh wait... Maybe I'm not...

i am afraid i could only tell you what i did and 50%of the ingredients

a wood filler...solvent based in my case cuprinol mahogany...and a secret black powder from totlxtc...kindly donated by himself

mix until desired colour...rub into affected area...wait 15-20mins...using very fine wire wool and cue oil i gently rubbed the excess overfill away...dried off.. reoiled...looks a treat

Thanks a lot. I think as the secret black powder i will use the swarf from sanding ebony. Should be the best color match, i suppose...
