Received some of Jellibeans magic wax in the post.
Will try it on the next cue I make.
Is it recommended for the shaft as well or just the butt?

Sorry jelliebean, been too busy too finish the cue, and decided it needs a bit more work doing before i do the final finish, i will let you know how i get on with that one as soon as i crack on with it again. In the mean time...heres a Trevor White mini butt i have done a few applications of your wax on.
Before Waxing...(click pics too enlarge)
After waxing...
And a pic of my TW tele-ext i just finished with a couple of applications of the wax to have a looksy what it would come up like...lol...
They have both improved considerably in feel with the wax and do look better than before.
Still, not quite the finish you achieve with the wax though...

Received your wax, thank you.
It arrived in a nice little tin, nicely packaged.
It smells very strongly of turpentine when I opened the tin, and as others have pointed out, the wax is as hard as rock.
The top layer looks different from the bottom, whereas the top surface has many kinds of swirls of colours while below the surface the wax is just brown.
I also would like to ask if there is any other way you would recommend to apply the wax other than using turpentine as I really do not like the smell of turpentine.
I tried a bit on a wooden bench but it felt too abrasive for my liking--the wax was very hard and did not really spread out evenly without applying a lot of pressure (which might be why I felt that it was abrasive). It felt like drawing with a piece of very hard chalk. It just did not form a layer of film to cover up the surface without a lot of rubbing...
What is the different between using your wax and just using carnuba wax, which I personally feel is much easier to apply, and is quite a bit softer and speard out much more evenly?
When the wax is so hard it seems quite difficult to get an even layer on the surface, any recommendation, please?
I am very busy at the moment and the wax seems and feels very hard but as I have promised a feedback I will provide one after I have received more info from you and when I have more time.
Thank you very much.Last edited by poolqjunkie; 29 April 2011, 06:28 PM.
