  • Looking for a new cue - £50

    Hi there,

I've just started to get into snooker and I'm loving it. However, I don't like having to use my brothers cue every time we go for a game, and the snooker hall cues are just ridiculously bad.

So I'm looking for a nice stylish/decent cue, possibly 2pc, or is it better to get a 3/4pc? Any recommendations for a beginner? Max price I'm willing to pay is £50 - and if it comes with a case, all the better!

    Thanks for any help!

I would probably go for the barracuda just as a personal preference. that's the 4th one listed @ 49.99 though you'll need to get a case.

Do you prefer a new cue or are you interested also in a collectible?
I have an AEON cue with extension and a case for sale.
It is a 3/4 cue which is about 30 years old but in good condition.
The case has been self-made by the previous owner and will do for the beginning but is -frankly speaking- worn down.

If you are interested i can post some pictures later on.
I am confused... Oh wait... Maybe I'm not...

my 1st 'reasonable' cue was a chinese or thai cue package off ebay, the nameplate on cue "pro uk snooker" or something, ebay is flooded with them and u can pick up 3/4 cue, 2 extensions, and an ali case for that money.

they dont get a great write up on this forum, but i found it a great package, and i played better snooker with that cue than with my next purchases (2 custom handmade cues).

            I'd go 2nd hand.

            That Aeon sounds all right.
I'd look for an old maple on flea bay my self.
Or go to Craftsman in Leeds to see what's in the rack (they sometimes part ex and sell 2nd hand)
Any other shops that sell proper 2nd hand cues?
