  • Silent Knight Cues

Hi, i'm fairly new to snooker and am really starting to enjoy it. I'm thinking of getting myself a cue. On ebay there seems to be some good deals from this one seller on Silent Knight Cues. They are handmade, look a decent quality and most come with a case, mini butt and telescopic extension. However, i can't find any information on this brand of cue on any websites. So was just wondering if anyone had any experience of Silent Knight Cues and could let me know if they are any good. I've posted the link to this sellers cues below.

    Thanks

I have seen these on e-bay, for handmade cues they seem to be knocking out an awful lot of these. I suspect they are all coming from China, but saying that I'm sure they will be pretty good for what you pay for them.

they look lovely those cues, the quality cant be up to much though, i've heard that sometimes the splices on these cues are painted on etc etc

These are cues shipped from Hong Kong and branded under various names. I have had 4 or 5 of them and they are quite decent for the money. The splices are for the most part quite uneven but they are real splices. Some of the pure black ebony butts are painted black but when I took the paint off the wood below was very attractive. I bought them because they feature air-lock joints. They are on the heavy side (19-21 oz), the tips are awful, the cases a bit flimsy and you should treat the shafts with a good oil but for the money ($100.00 Canadian including shipping) they are good value for the money.

Ended up getting one of these cues and am well pleased, feels really nice and balanced to play with which gives me more confidence. Seems to be pretty good quality as well! Hopefully my game will start to improve!

How much did you get it for? Is the case any good? If nothing else i need a case and could give the cue to my brother. Wonder if the extension would fit other sd joints?

My main cue is a John Parris Master Cue but I got one of these this morning. Looks OK apart from a crap tip. Case was damaged in transit though. (Thin leather on cardboard inner.) Waiting to see what seller does about it. I'll let you know. :snooker:

To be fair I did get a replacement case quite quickly and I think the cue itself is more than value for money. It has also been admired by several very good players in the Nelson and District League. For the time being though, I'm sticking with my John Parris cue, at least until our season is completed.
