  • Tom Snooker Cues

Apologies, I know this has been asked before but as I cant search the forum at the min due to the updates, I thought I'd ask it again.

I'm in the market for a new cue and looking towards a Thai cue.

Tom Cues seem a bit cheaper than most (if not all) of the other Thai brands at the moment.

What is everyone's thoughts on them? They look nice but I've never seen one in the flesh and I wonder why they're cheaper - is that just their chosen price point or are they generally of a lower quality than the other makers such as Maximus etc? They only seem to sell directly on Facebook - I wonder if that's why they're cheaper? As they don't have the mark up from a shop/importer here in the UK?

I'm also considering a Ton Praram but this will be significantly more than a Tom cue (although still within my budget). Just wondering if it's worth the extra...

I'll be buying a maple cue - if anyone knows any of the Thai brands that makes particularly nice maple cues then please let me know.

    Thanks

Really poor finish on the few that I’ve had, having said that they are solid cues. If you are on Facebook look up Darren Lowe, I believe he has a relationship with the maker, so gets them and refinished them before selling.

What specs are you after and what is your budegt...I may have a cue you might be interested in (Ton PRaram or Maximus), depending on your budget.

I haven't owned a Tom cue but I know they have had a pretty good review on here from memory and when I emailed him a query he was quick to respond. But if you wish to order one, the above post sounds like a good start.

Tom cues are the best value for money Thai cues about imo.
I have a new order coming this week hopefully (depends how long customs holds them.) I have a few maple in this order so if you message me I'll get some pictures over!
