Very much doubt it. Stephen Hendry won 7 World titles with a Maple cue. He is regarded as one of the greatest players ever but that didn’t create a big rush to play with Maple. Maple was popular in the Reardon Spencer era but people seemed to move over to Ash. Not sure what caused the switch but I did hear that good quality Maple became harder to source. Maybe ADR could add his expertise.
