Which side of the cloth is up?

I'm self-assembling the Xingpai Star table. It came with a Strachan No. 10 cloth. I've got to the point where the slates are level and puttied, and am ready to install the cloth. I wanted to confirm which side of the cloth is the playing side. Here what I think:

- There's a Strachan logo and markings on the edge of one side. This should be the non-playing side.
- If I run my hand over the cloth to feel the nap, the side opposite the logo clearly has a smooth feel in one direction and a rough feel in the opposite direction. Again, this should be the playing side.

This is the first time I'm installing a table, so wanted to confirm: is my understanding above correct?

Yes, logo is on the underside

and don't forget that the nap goes from the Baulk to Black; hence you brush, block and iron only and always from Baulk to Black!

However, I'm having trouble. It was always clear to me that installing the cloth might take real skill, and I think I'm stuck at getting the center pockets. I can't seem to be able to get the cloth to fold over the pocket correctly and not get wrinkles.

I've seen pool table cloth being split into stripes at the pockets so that they can be folded over in pieces. Is that something that's done with snooker cloth? Will it work? Is there something else I can do?
