  • Snooker table serial number

Hello, I have a question about a snooker table I have recently acquired with little information on it!

The slate appears to be roughly 5 feet by 10 feet in five sections, I have all the cushions and fittings - but I have no maker that I can see anywhere. What I do have though is a six digit serial number stamped into each leg, and I was hoping I may be able to get info about the maker from this? The number is 098448 stamped towards the corner of the fitting.

Any info you might be able to help me get would be much appreciated!

Well the 6 in the corner is for leg 6

09 could be the year of manufacture and the other numbers will be it unique serial number? I’m assuming each leg had the same, just the 6 in the corner will be different?

        It looks like a Riley

mikee? What do you reckon bud?

Those legs definitely look very much the same. Is there anything else that would help identify it? If so I can go look through the parts to see if there's a match. Will check the side panels as I can't see those being on many different types of table. And hopefully I'll come across a maker's mark somewhere in the process!

Thanks for your help so far

Just checked and the side panels have the same carving. What's the name of the table, do you know? I'm guessing it's a Riley build!

I’m actually not sure what that is? I stumbled across it and noticed the legs looked identical... the photo was from Geoff Large’s website, but he didn’t mention the manufacturer.

Not saying this is the case with your table but if you have enough money there are folk who worked for Riley England who will build you a bespoke table. Just a thought.
Main lads name I got told begins with a J, sorry can't rember, Justin maybe.
This is how you play darts ,MVG two nines in the same match!

If it was a bespoke made table then why the numbers on the legs?

Might be worth contacting Geoff Large at GLBilliards.. he might be able to shed light on the table in the photo I took from his website? What he doesn’t know about snooker tables isn’t worth knowing!

It’s a Chinese table from either Birmingham Export Billiards or FC Snooker. I have one of these in 9ft Model. The guy I got it from bought it from Birmingham billiards.

Oh, Chinese-made doesn't fill me with hope from what I've read! Will give those companies a shout and see if they can shed any light on it, thanks for the leads!
