Can you change nap direction by ironing?

Hello!

New here with probably a dumb question!

So I bought a cheapish Chinese snooker table, just an 8 foot for home use. The cloth is pretty decent and has a nap, problem is I got doubles of either no3 or no6 cushion. So the nap will run in the wrong direction depending on where I choose to have it run.. well wrong. Annoys the crap out of me so my question is: Is it possible to force the direction of the nap the other way on one of them by ironing? Probably not but any other ideas? Or should I just order new cloth for the whole table and do it right myself. I doubt I can source a piece for the one cushion to match the rest..

If it is just the cushion, then it is really only cosmetic

It is. If I'm lucky there might be a wide enough strip of cloth left over after covering the slates that I can use to re-cover the cushion, otherwise I'll just leave it.
