  • What table is this ?

What table is this? It's an older table located in Alberta Canada. Was told could be a Riley or BCE Westbury. Not sure about the history. Notice the legs are on inside out. Any ideas?

I'm not sure it's either of those, never seen that routed pattern in the side mahogany before, it mimicks a BCE Westbury pattern but has a more diamond shape as opposed to a circle which the BCE has.

Pictures aren't great, so maybe some clearer ones and if possible, any serial numbers under the frame etc will help some of the historians here.

Well whatever it is, it looks a quality solid mahogany wood table so I'm sure you've got a sound buy there. Still be great to find out more though. πŸ‘

Thought I would update the thread if anyone was curious. I had a top table fitter come in and install Northern rubber / superfine Strachan / custom made Tan pockets. Pockets are tighter which is great.
HE wasn't able to tell me where the table originates from but his best guess was that it could be a Chinese imported table as the rail wood slightly warped and he thought that he has seen this happen with tables imported from China where there is a lot of humidity. Not sure I buy this as it doesn't make sense to me as to why someone would get an older Chinese table. Maybe I'm wrong.
But with the upgrades we have made to the table - it plays like a dream. I ve had the best players in Canada in the room and they all agree that it's one of the best playing tables with the conditions we have in the room. If you would like to view the table - you can see the videos on my YouTube channel west coast snooker scenes. Mind you the videos I have are before we had it refitted but I ll be posting more videos and money matches in the future as the room is busy everyday with just one table. It's a room for friends only.
