yes those air con units above a table are bad news , our local Conservative club in Beeston has two tables with two units above them and they have leaked all over the posh shades they had covered in Brown velour and also the tables , so be warned anyone who is yet to have a air con unit fitted keep it away from the table to one sde or end if possible and maybe wall mounted not roof mounted .[/SIGPIC]http://www.gclbilliards.com

Planning permission is dependant on the type of property you have and the land around it. Also angle lines from your neighbours windows play a big part.
Without permission you can build a single storey extension upto 4 meters if your house is detached. This is permitted development.
For a shed type building with a timber frame you can build where and what you want in terms of your boundaries providing it isn't more than 4 meters in height and doesn't take up more than 50% of the land around the original house.
On a side note, my table is installed tomorrow... Very excited

Just read the posts on this page. I can get AC installed cheaper than I had thought so that will be a must.
Is a full load of concrete about 6 cubic metres? My room is more or less 60 square metres so a load of 6 cubes would give me 4". So if I could get a slightly bigger load I think I would be happier as 4" would be marginal I should think. Obviously for cost reasons I would like to work around 1 whole load.王可

Apparently the trucks here carry 7 metres so it will be a bit more than 100mm thickness. I think it will be solid concrete. He has a laser level so it should be fairly accurate. He is going to reinforge it as well. There is loads of brick rubble kicking around so that will all get pukverised into the base of the concrete so I hope it will be adequate.王可
