looking for a dining table/ pool table

hi all as the title states hopefully in the near future ill be looking for a pool table/ dining table ive been looking on the internet seen loads ranging from £500 upwards .
ive been told by the other half it has got to be tasteful lol but really all i want is something that plays as close to a pub table and am able to change cloths ect if anybody has any advice on what and where to look

buy a pub table and make some fancy side panels with MDF and laminate to "hide" it?
