Just about to order a Strar Tournament Table and was wondering if the heaters should be on continously while playing or if it is pretty much optional (which I think it is). I understand the heating is for table speed but I dont mind being corrected. My table will be sitting on hard flooring but I will have protective flooring around the table, coming off 4 foot around the entire table to protect the floor tiles from flying balls. If it the heating lights are on continously then a damn power lead will be in the way on whichever side it runs, unless I can buy a isolated power source which sits underneath the table.
