As I said I can't be the first to think of this so why has it not been done- or has it?
In 1906 Wright & Co. filed a patent for a billiard table which was made to be portable by fitting it with wheels which were be raised when not in use. Its not clear from the patent whether it was ever done with a full-sized table. It's more likely you would want to move a smaller table, so probably not.

However, when Joe Davis was touring theatres giving exhibitions during the war, Jelks & Co developed a full sized table which they claimed "could be wheeled into position on stage, levelled and left accurate in a period of seven minutes."

I suppose it's possible to have a mechanism to lower the whole table into the floor when not in use, so then the table never actually moves.

Apparently you can move a full size snooker table with the proper jacks if your floor is dead level, ie, hard tiled flooring.. WSS can carry out this service I am told...

You can move a full size table on wheels , but the joints will move under the slightest ridge or out of level floor that you are pushing the wheeled dollies over , this will disturb any joint filler and loosen it up .
Back in the 1980s Enbuild of liverpool often moved tables with 6 x 1.5 ton jacks on wheels , these where set between the legs down each side of the table , I once had to strip a table down that had been moved this way and relevel plus refill all the slate joints , don't get me wrong it is an ideal way to move a table in one go within a building to a new location if doorways allow , but only if the Bed cloth is coming off , then you will see the joints and once in the new location you level the table and reset the joints before restretching old bed cloth or recovering with a new bed cloth again .

moving a table over a distorted unlevel floor can be dangerous though and is not advised , in this case fully strip down the table .

also Some american pool tables ( SAM ) have clamped to steel frame slates if the frame distorts the slate will break .
