What make of table does this leg come from??

Pretty sure it's from a Burroughes & Watts table, looks very similar to some table legs in my local snooker hall.

larger photo includeing the leg block and part of the frame , and also the cushions includeing pocket plate , these are all things that could point to the maker , leg block above this turned piece would have a inner panel to hide the frame bolts often in the shape of a curved church window or just an oblong square for a B&watts

Also i know the frame is stamped 14499 and the slates have a triangle on them with the numbers 216,did all older makers stamp there frames like b/watts.

Serial numbers won't help you with a Burroughes & Watts table. In an early attempt at uniting Europe the luftwaffe bombed their works flat and destroyed all records.

I have had a look at the table on ebay , the plate on the end which says riley burwat arrowflite is a rerubber badge if you look at the bottom of the plate it states rerubbered cushions , this would have been put on by riley burwat around the 1960s when riley had absorbed burroughs and watts into the company and for a short while adopted the name Riley burwat .

Looking at the pocket plates and the overhang of green cushion cloth , I can tell this is a burroughs and watts table , b&watts had a cushion that had the cushion retaining slip rebate inlaid into the hard wood capping and not the soft wood rubber block , this made the cushion look around 1/4 of an inch more on the block and rubber overhang , when in fact it is 1/4 of an inch back into the hardwood capping , I have forgot what they used to call these cushions , but it was their attempt to make a standard set of cushions look like a steel block cushion at the corner pockets .
by not having the cutt back angle in the capping woodwork that the majority of standard cushions have for the corner rubber to follow around the angle.
many of these type of cushions where made from cuban mahogany and are very heavy , so as good as steel blocks in the rebound and stiffness of the cushion . but there where also some of the standard Brazilian mahogany .
I will have to phone my good friend Harvey who is a little older than me , a time served Billiards fitter who lives near Manchester as I am sure it was him who told me the name of these cushions , Harvey worked for some top named billiard firms during the 50s and 60s . like orme and sons and B&watts. based around Manchester . He is still fitting today .
