Hi Everyone....i have read you need a room 22 foot by 16 foot minimum to accommodate a full size snooker table......My question is if you have a room exactly that size....can you still have things like " Cue Rack",a few chairs so your opponent can sit comfortably and watch me clear the table LOL....without asking him to move out of the way if i get near him......that sort of thing....maybe some cushioned seating along the wall........I think this size is about 7x5(22x16) metres correct?....I am looking into it and wonder if i should go slightly bigger to have some space(plan to build)....any advice much appreciated......Cheers Jon

5 feet around the table is okay but 6 feet around is perfect. You can still have seating when there's 5 feet around the table, just put single small seats on the corners, racks are fine, again though, try and store your stuff on the corners where there is not much game play happening..JP Majestic

Yes, 22 x 16 is the minimum requirement and allows just 5ft space around the table in all directions but there is not much room for anything else.
My own room is 30 x 17 and I still find it a bit close on the sides but there is clearance everywhere and lots of room for chairs at the ends, etc.
