  • Riley Silver Aristocrat

Was thinking about painting my table to resemble the silver Riley aristocrat table they used to use at the world championships, any ideas on how to go about this?
Ive not got the aristocrat table but would be nice to look like I think

if you've got it dissembled it would be straight forward, you could do it yourself, or send them to be pro finished by a lacquer spray company. i wouldn't touch it because it looks naff, but i like the classy wood look, especially when there looked after. i'd spend the 4-500 quid on other accessories, a nice cue or coaching

who cares what colour the legs are , it is what it plays like that is most important .

I always thought the silver and gold finish on table legs and trims where a bit like putting spoilers on a some car type's ,in other words it is a gimmick or a trend that some are following .

if your table has good wood grain why hide it ?

But if you like it go for it , full size table's these days are not going for a lot of money so I doubt you would devalue it .

best dismantle the table first to do a good job though .

I would say dont do it
As has been mentioned before elsewhere, usually a paint or colour lacquer is used to hide low-quality timber, so if your table has nice wood, show it to the world!
            What make/model is your table?
Can we see some pictures or it and the room?

ps. in TSF you need over 10 posts before you can use the attachments fuction but there is always photobucket and such like where you can copy the IMG code to your post to display the image (and not the code as a link )
            Up the TSF! :snooker:
