You must have good neighbours. **** would hit the fan with mine, the snobs would have the tape measure out.

You go for it fully and enjoy it. It will be the best thing you've ever done..

              • Just think, you can't sleep so you wonder into the snooker room and pot a few. You see something on TSF or elsewhere- a technique- so you go into the room on Sunday morning and spend all day practicing. You keep your cloth pristine. The balls are perfect and no idiots smashing them around. People with whom you enjoy snooker get invited, nobody else. You have just 10 minutes to kill so you go in and do a line up.

                Believe me, it has advantages.

                      • Is it just me, but when I first built my snooker extension I found myself playing less...

I know I had my well documented cue search which cost me some time. But I mean I would come home from work, stressed, kids nipping at me, missus running her dumb ****ing trap off...

Past me would get in the motor and pop down to the club for the escape. For a time, the last thing I wanted was to walk into the next room and play...

                        anyone else get that?

I have heard similar, now me on the other hand spend at least an hour every night and more on the weekend. Great place to go at night just to enjoy an hour by myself. But I guess it would be different if we had little kids running around.

Yes, I have it now. Its due to running my own business and looking after someone close in the family due to health.

Just mentally drained at the mo..

                            • If I had my own table I would play TOO much . I would play way late and it would affect my work etc . I know this to be true because too many times I play at the club till late and don't leave until it shuts and then I'm knackered for work next day .

LOL, that's what happens to me with my own table. Go down just going to hit a few shots before bed and next thing I know it's 1:00 in the morning.
