Just a quick update on the progress if anyone is interested..
The footings (27 x 18) took exactly 11 days to be dug by hand by one person. I am expecting someone from the authority to come and inspect the footing tomorrow and hopefully come next week I should have the concrete thrown in. So far, its looking good. Ill have some pics to share soon.

yep same company I looked at
but they do custom size
glad you asked before I did
there is also the aspect of a log cabin being a temporary structure and not a brick structure being "permanent"
