I agree with the above, thats why a lot of pros practice together.
I have my own and use to practice 4 to 5 hr a day when I first got the Star. I calmed the practice down now and find you actually benefit from less play, well for me anyway. I tend to stick 6 to 7 reds on the table randomly around the black and pink and just practice, mostly with just the black on its spot too.
If you finding it boring your sighting WILL NOT pick the potting point out. You will just be hitting the CB in to fresh air and start missing silly shots.
And you can't beat the atmosphere of a good snooker club. You will never replicate that.
Its a bit like a home gym. Many would get more motivated by going down to their local sweat box because others are working out.
