Yes. I think I am going to have one awesome table when it's all done. My BCE Pocket leathers will be in mid next week.

      Les:

Ignore my email, I didn't see your adjustable brackets that Geoff spotted. I'm almost certain they aren't on my table but I'm going to get them for my next re-cloth.

Nice day out so I can open up the garage doors crank up the tunes and start sanding. I hope to have some photos by the end of the day.

A silk finish is the way to go. Just a sheen, not a high gloss.

You got it Philip, that's is exactly what I am talking about. As I call it a real rich finish.

Sorry this is a side question for anyone who knows how tables are made. On the second pic down ,the one where the leg has been stained, you can see a join line running up the middle of the leg, how are these made? Thanks
Looking great Les, I like your idea of the finish you are going after, much nicer IMO .

Look at the photo of Les' table and you can see the bracket, or else check out Geoff's post as he has a close-up of one of them. I've never seen them at Home Depot but I assume they are around somewhere

Hi guys it has been a couple days since I posted any progress but thats not to say there hasn't been any.... rails are now all done. You have know idea how much work is in aech one. Three hours a peice to make them absolutely perfect, silky smooth. Tonight I am going to try and finish the 12 leg bolt covers.

My wife says I am crazy, I just spent 10 hours in my shop sanding today and yes I did finish the bolt cover blocks and also stained them. I also stained one of the rails so I could see what it's going to look like. The outcome is beyond what I could even have imagined. The grain just pops and that is with no sealer on it. I think I will spend more time sitting at the bar admiring my table then playing on it.....

                            Looking good !!

The finished table will be worth it.

My favourite players: Walter Lindrum (AUS), Neil Robertson (AUS), Eddie Charlton (AUS), Robby Foldvari (AUS), Vinnie Calabrese (AUS), Jimmy White, Stephen Hendry, Alex Higgins, Ronnie O'Sullivan, Dominic Dale and Barry Hawkins.
                            I dream of a 147 (but would be happy with a 100)

Yes I am very pleased. I know it is one pile of work but I will be able to sit back and say I did this. I hope it plays as good as it will look.
