WPBSA rules states balls are 52.5mm (or 2 1/16in) (+/- 0.05mm) in diameter

I find their description of there is no undercut to the cushion misinformed and actually untrue

there has to be an undercut as the rubber is L shaped , even when cut part of that L shape is on that curve , the rest of the cut rubber is not just left like that
what it should say is the rubber Flat facing top edge is left flat to same thickness to the very back edge of the pocket and anything under this edge IS UNDERCUT .

          like this

you have to also sand the sharp cut edges off to avoid cloth splitting , and tape over the rubber .

if it was not undercut then you would leave it like this

here you see the rubber has been rough undercut ready for smoothing out , the flat edge is kept as stated all the way to back end of pocket curve

here you see the smoothed out undercut to prevent rubber sharp edge cutting through cloth . the flat edge is still kept to back edge of curve but the sharp edges are smoothed , this is important for club tables not so important ona TV table re-covered every three days of use .

have a feel under the cushion angle of any match table on TV and tell me there is no undercut as can be seen here with RO on a current 2016 competition
