Ha ha he he! You two are on form tonight Lol!

Women are all cut from the same cloth. …

Like a newspaper, there’s a new issue with them every day!

Apologies to all our lady readers but I have had DIY enforced on me this past weekend so feel vilified. : )

They should have ironed the cloth , and the reason for that an iron will find any bad slate joint or a bit of filler that is proud , a bit of grit will be like leaving an anvil under the cloth to a ball
you will feel any bad joint or defect like grit with an iron as you go over them .
the main reason for ironing is to make the playing surface smooth and flat and the nap to be laid in the right direction baulk to spot end as flat as possible.
Did they have an Iron ? you will be surprised at how many people arrive without one or do not have one .
my tip for you is do not buy the chrome plated face plate iron , funny enough I used one today at a club who had bought one for around 3150 new a saving of around £65 from the UK made dowsing iron
the Chinese chrome plate iron makes the surface very sticky and you feel as thought he iron wants to stop all the while and stick , the dowsing iron is not chrome plated and these glide over the cloth with ease .

this is the bad sticky chrome plate low cost Chinese iron but this guy is asking far too much for new http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Snooker-cl...AAAOSwqfNXozhU
they are around £145 in the UK new

this is the one you want a second hand Dowsing UK made one on ebay http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Dowsings-D...sAAOSwOgdYr1WL

a new dowsing UK iron on Ebay http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/DOWSING-DB...gAAOSwDk5T2f24

just keep an eye out for a good second hand one like the one I have listed for you to look at , make sure it has it's electric lead with it and stand if possible , and ask if it has been tested and working , they normally sell for between £75 and £100 second hand .
      and are sought after .

if you are confident and have a spare bit of cloth you could buy a none working iron and heat it up on a gas ring or electric hob and test it on the piece of old cloth ,
if it is too hot do not use it , but really best to buy a good second hand one that works .

I don't think that they had any iron with them, as I didn't see any, I will be looking for one, can I use our regular iron as it have a wool setting (I can test it on a spare piece of cloth), until I find a good table iron?

They didn't mention anything regarding re-leveling, the table is on a carpet that it's glued to a concrete floor, do you think it's necessary to be re-leveled? if yes when is the best time?
I want to mention that the company who installed the table is located about 500km far from where I live.

Re-leveling is not going to be in with the set up , it is extra work and many tables do resettle , leveling is best done at time of first bed cloth re-stretch .

if you have not got a proper billiards iron do not use a domestic steam iron , if the slightest bit of water trails out it will leave a trail of raised damp cloth .
buy one of these , do not recommend them for full size tables as the plate is not large enough and not heavy but neither is a domestic iron , but at least the ski iron is square plated
I normally recommend these ski wax melt irons for pool tables .

On a relevel, the man who did my table might be willing to do the work. He would be closer than 500km!

When he fitted my table he got it so accurate that my digital level showed 0 and that turns to 0.1 degrees- if I put aa new bank note under 1 nd of it, it will actually register the difference. You can't get much more accurate than that!
