  • dpt or supremes

decided to invest in a new pool table got a prince supreme at moment bought secondhand 4/5 yrs ago needs some serious tlc now ( re rubber /cloth etc ) so decided to buy new i do like the turned leg style than the modern style winners , so which one is better the ascot dpt does come with solid wooden legs instead of the plastic ones on the prince supreme but which is the better playability wise and quality of materials used. any information would be appreciated.

Can't comment on dpt but you can't go wrong with a winner supreme imo. I've not tried one with the blue simonis cloth yet but my local has fitted them with hansworth speed cloth and they play lovely, like on glass.

I've got a supreme winner with the 861 simonise cloth fitted & you won't play on a better table or cloth. I've had the cloth since May & play around an hr a day & the cloth looks like it was fitted yesterday.

Good stuff. I've been toying with getting one myself but suspect I'd be too lazy to play on it if it was in the house, and they make an absolute racket.

          Do you play tournaments?
If so choose the table that tournaments are played on...

Would also recommend a Supreme Winner table, as said they are the most common at clubs and tournaments. The design of the legs is supposed to give the table and slate better support than having the legs in the 4 corners like the Prince, supposed to keep the table more stable and level.

thanks for the input fellas . seriously looking into the winners but lots to take on board. like you say most clubs have winners but the pubs around here seem to have the traditional prince supreme or the dpt ascots i suppose whatever goes with the decal .dont play tournaments lone wolf just for fun. big shot , you will not be sorry or regret if you got one for your home if its just only for practice drills knocking a few balls or playing a game with family and friends you will never get bored. so many different games 8 and 9 ball etc etc plus imo its not a bad piece of furniture ! if you got the space go for it fella.
