Moving Slate

Hi guys

Need some advice.

I need to move slate for my snooker table up two flights of stairs.

Is there any special equipment available to assist or is it just as simple as hard graft

I have stopped carrying slates upstairs now because of joint problems in arms and back , 41 years of doing this has made it's mark on me .

Marvelous machine, but for the cost of hiring something like that I would just bite the bullet and do the hard work!

Get a trolley or pallet truck to move the slate as far as possible- to the foot of the stairs etc. No point making it too difficult.

It can take up to 600 kilo's, so that will be 3 pieces of slate at one go. Dunno what the price of this is but i'll bet it's expensive. Maybe an investment for a professional fitter

I have moved safes up.and down strairs on a crawler you can hire them.for the day dont no if your stairs would be wide enough

Lol philp that was when i was younger as a Removal man for years there not as comen as pianos but the stere crawler is good HSS plant hire does that kind of stuff
