You brought up "narrow goals in this day and age" Andrew.
There are a lot of people world-wide facing imminent crushing fallout from the current financial crisis... businesses, homes, families, dreams... hence "solvency" is quite a topical "goal" wouldn't you agree?

I think you are one of the lucky ones, and commend you for being able to avoid banks.
