  • Snooker Clubs

I'm looking for a snooker club in England, with at least 6 quality snooker tables.
I dont really mind where in England, as long as it has good transport links, a good nightlife and reasonable accomodation.

    Any Suggestions?

This is a great venue, but funnily enough as there is a tournament there a few weeks before, I would prefer a venue away from Leeds.

TSF'S Big Day Out is there on Sunday! You should come along and see what you think!

Jesters in Swindon used to be a very nice club indeed, but by all accounts has gone down hill completely in recent years, with tables in a poor state, little attention to maintaining the accessories, and no hot food being served. The EASB certainly haven't used it for the past couple of seasons for any of their events, even though it was host to their finals weekend back in 1999.

I've heard though that there's another club in Swindon which has undergone significant refurbishment in recent months, and with a very accommodating owner.

Yes just 2 days ago. It is a well maintained club with above-reasonable tables and from what I could see, and im sure ferret will correct me if wrong, there looked to be at least 12 tables.

Maybe they've got their act together over the last year or so, but I can't say I've heard any other good reports in that time.

They have (or at least had) 22 tables!

Fairview is a members club in Wembley, West London (but membership is easy enough to obtain as they are rarely very busy).

Alfie Burden has his practice table there, and there are 6 other tables which are all in very good condition, although Alfie's is the only pro template table there. The others are still tighter than club tables.

I think it's about £1 per 20 minutes from what I recall, very reasonable.

Yes they have 22 tables. Considering we had 10 tables in half of the club.... That means Roy thinks theyre were 2 tables in the other half of the club

It was a decent club, cloths were the pretty common thick club cloths, but not to the point of being too slow, just what I would consider normal. It is quite cool in there even in summer I'm told and the tables were all in pretty good nick.
Pockets were about average I would say, not tight but not complete buckets either.

Yes a few things could do with a little care and attention but I have been to far far far worse clubs.
