                  Hi Goldengirl,

You would be best served going to www.scottishsnooker.co.uk the official NGB site in Scotland.
It was the NGB who arranged the Auld Enemy Clash last year in Renfrewshire and who also competed down in Leeds in 2008.
It really is agreat event, with new friends being made every year.

Good to see the divided factions in scottish snooker have found a new battleground on which to joust

I did say THE TOP PLAYERS.

I believe there are other events but these are sparsely populated, as you will see, the rankings on scottishsnooker.com are littered with ex pros and top names from the past.

No disrespect to the "NGB" of course.

Perhaps it would be worth asking the English chaps who they feel their time would be better served playing against.

Although, of course, they might just be happy to keep winning easily.

Just a wee update looks like "the saviours" have had 92 individuals play on the main tour vs the "NGB" having 23.

40+ "saviours" has 23 players vs "NGB" 12.

                          U19s "saviours" has 31 vs "NGB" 11.

                          U16s "saviours" 23 vs "NGB" 10.

From these simple facts it looks to me like "The Saviours" are more aptly named than the "NGB".

139 individuals vs 56 in these categories?

Granted some categories have not run yet but I'll let the site members decide based on these tournament attendances, who is really running the game "for the good of the game" in Scotland.

I am not involved in the running of either set of events but I know which set I'd be playing in if I was going to play. There is clearly a problem with the "NGB", thank goodness for "The Saviours".

                          No "heresay" here, only facts.

Please note "The Saviours" is what the former chairman of the "NGB" calls them.

Postie mate, by these numbers, if it was jousting it would only last seconds.

Also Postie, it looks to me like the Scottishsnooker.com chaps will deliver!

Yes the figures above are accurate.

Although my days of jousting are over - all pretty fruitless and it's the game and players that suffer.

Looks like Sports Scotland are going to reset the map in the next month or so.

Personally, I will always play NGB Snooker, regardless of who runs it.
Have always represented my country with pride - Hopefully, if I qualify in future NGB events that will not change.

                              Very magnanimous.
